History Upcycled

Tonight I had the pleasure to go to a design event showcasing local St. Louis stores Niche and Hammer & Hand Imports.

At Hammer & Hand we got to create our very own block print using an antique Indian tribal block.
Here's some photos of me creating my print!

Rolling the ink onto the block
Pressing the paper onto the block print
 Holding my finished product!
 A closer look!

Hammer & Hand Imports is owned by my friends Chris & Amy Plaisted.
Check out their website
located at 415 Olive Street  in Downtown Saint Louis
"Hammer & Hand Imports believes that the real beauty in our furniture lies in the stories that each piece tells.
That is why we seek out extraordinary hand-made, one-of-a-kind furniture and home accents from Bali, India, Thailand, and China.
We are committed to using sustainable and re-purposed materials which are transformed into timeless furniture and handicrafts that will last lifetimes.
In other words...history upcycled!"

Here are some of the great items in their shop!
Fantastic rustic upcycled dining room table!
More block prints!

 Love these coffee tables!

I hope you check these guys out and love their items as much as I do!

Wow their store has so many fabulous pieces! I could definitely get lost in there :)
