Exploring Houston: Heritage Society Park

Saturday we spent some time exploring Houston. Thus begins my new blog post series...Exploring Houston!
This past weekend we visited Heritage Society Park where many historic buildings have been moved to so that we can preserve and enjoy them.
We took the opportunity to have a bit of a photo shoot!

St. John's Church...a lovely quaint church to get married in!!

Loving the old with the new here...

Peeking in the church!! :)

Close-ups of wonderful vintage features...

Falling in love with the peeling porches on these houses...

Doorknobs to die for...

At the end we found the Spirit of Confederacy statue...

And had a little fun...

Then the bum sleeping on the bench started getting dressed and coming towards us so we decided it was time to leave....quickly!! :)

Can't believe this hidden treasure is right in the middle of Houston. Had so much fun with my sis and gal pals just walking around taking pics (and sweating our socks off!!)

That looks like a fun visit! I've never been there so I clearly have got to check this out. Hope you and your hubby have a great weekend!

PS I love the dress you were wearing in these pictures!
