Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Furniture Makeover

I just spent my afternoon sun bathing and mowing part of our lawn! Don't tell my hubby, I'm trying to surprise him since he's been working 12+ hour days to prep for inventory! Boooo!
I'm loving this sunny beautiful Saturday!!

So I have another exciting project to share with you!
Recently a fellow Houston blogger friend reached out to me. She had some furniture she needed re-vamped and she needed it quick. The even more exciting part was that she wanted me to use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint! I had been wanting to try her paint for a while and was so glad to have a good reason to do so!

Here's the "After" pic:

And the "Before"
(excuse the already missing handle. . .I almost forgot to take the before pic!)

We toyed with the idea of making the top covered in fabric as a faux seat.

But decided it looked better as is with the paint.
This was also the first time I had ever painted wicker, and I actually love it! The Annie Sloan paint looked wonderful on it!!

Here's more After pics and detail shots.
After the paint I used a black coffee glaze to give the aged look and distressed the edges. Then finished it all off with a finishing paste to protect the finish!
Annie Sloan color used: Paris Gray

Loved the leather hinges and straps on the wicker baskets!

I hope she truly enjoys her new pieces!! So happy with my first experience with AS chalk paint!!
