Valentine's Day Hearts

Valentine's Day is coming up and I recently received a request to make these large hearts for a yard or front porch. The perfect Valentine's decor to make a statement!

I started by drawing the heart on builders paper to get the right shape.

I traced the heart on the wood and got our jigsaw out to cut out the shapes.

This was my first time using the jigsaw and I loved how easy it was!

We got paint samples and picked a good pink and red.
Watermelon Pink & Frosted Pomegranate were the winners!

After painting the hearts they were cute but needed a little pizzazz.

I used my black coffee glaze with a little paintbrush and applied it in random spots all over the hearts.

Then blended it in with a damp rag.

The hearts were finished with polyurethane to make sure they withstand the weather and included fold-able easel stand in the back.

I'm sure these hearts will looks adorable on her porch!
Happy Valentine's Day!!
