Next on the tour, we move into the breakfast room!
This room is probably my favorite room in the house. After work the sun shines into this room and it's a great place to sit down and unwind.
This room also has several pieces we've made or re-finished, and I love the pieces we make so I also love to be around them. :)
The table is the 2nd generation table of this tutorial. We sold the first one and made another one. On this newest one we used solid red oak, and switched up the hardware just a little. We also built a matching bench to go with it.
This cabinet was the first DIY furniture project I ever completed! You can read about it here. I'm a little saddened when saying that because I have parted with the cabinet and sold it to the person buying our house. I hope she enjoys it as much as I have!
I love picking up fresh flowers for the house. Baby's breath and carnations are simple and inexpensive but really add a lovely touch!
The ladder back chairs were found at a garage sale for $4 each!
This time card holder was from the old building of my former employer. This was the actual time card holder used for over 50 years. They are a cool addition to my unique vintage decor!

My cabinet full of knick knacks...
Vintage glass jars to hold my corks and spare change.
Love this shot sneaking in the chicken wire cabinet while showing off my cane back chair that I made over. Read about that here and here!
If there's anything you liked that I didn't mention leave me a comment and I'll tell you where, when and how I got it!
